“My family had an absolutely fantastic tour with Manuela. She made us feel like honored guests in Trastevere as we went to local places sampling the best food that Trastevere and Campo de Fiori has to offer. We tried a specially made charcuterie plate at a local butcher, we ate amazing pizza al taglio, we had fresh and savory suppli, we tried fried artichoke, we sampled cannoli and coffee, and we had this amazing fried dough item that was not listed on the menu that was freshly fried for us, It was light and fluffy and so, so delicious. We learned about the context for all the different foods all in a perfectly orchestrated tour. Along the way, we met Manu’s neighborhood friends and I felt like we were special visitors out with a friend for a relaxing afternoon.This was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Italy and one of the best culinary experiences of my life. I cannot recommend Manu enough. “

“This walking tour was hands down one of the best experiences of our trip — and it all came down to Manuela. Her knowledge of Roman food culture and history was extraordinary. We learned so much in the three hours we spent with her than we could have from walking around on our own or any guidebook.
What made it really special was how personal it felt. Manuela’s warmth and knowledge made our tour so very special. It is also clear that she has genuine relationships with the people at all our stops which just adds to the enjoyment of the entire tour.
The food of course was fantastic which she picked with great care and tailored to what we wanted to eat. The cheese and meats, suppli, pizza, sweets and gelato were all delicious. On this tour you don’t just eat but you understand what you’re eating and why it matters.
Manuela is really what makes this an experience not to be missed. We highly recommend her and this tour and we would absolutely do another tour with her the next time in Rome. “
