Booking Terms & Conditions
We want your booking experience to be clear, straightforward and stress-free from the beginning. These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to your itinerary and, together with your confirmed itinerary and booking confirmation, form part of your travel agreement.
Your itinerary is confirmed once we have received the required deposit and issued written confirmation of your booking.
Your confirmed itinerary, together with these Booking Terms & Conditions and your booking confirmation, sets out the services included in your package and the agreed price.
Any specific requests or arrangements should be communicated at the time of booking. We will always do our best to accommodate them, subject to availability and confirmation by the relevant service providers.
1. Booking Confirmation
2. Payment Terms
To secure your itinerary, a 30% deposit of the total package price is required at the time of booking.
The remaining 70% balance is due no later than 30 days before the start date of your itinerary.
Your booking will be considered fully confirmed once the required deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
All payment amounts and deadlines will be clearly stated in your booking confirmation.
Failure to make a payment by the applicable deadline may result in cancellation of the booking and the application of the relevant cancellation charges.
3. Package Price
The total price of your package is the amount stated in your booking confirmation.
The package price includes only the services specifically listed in your confirmed itinerary.
Any additional services, activities, meals, transportation, upgrades or personal expenses that are not expressly included in the itinerary will be payable separately.
Where permitted by applicable law, the price may be adjusted in response to changes in certain costs affecting the package. Any such adjustment will be communicated to you in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
4. Changes Requested by the Traveller
We are happy to consider reasonable requests to modify your itinerary after booking.
Any requested changes are subject to availability and to the terms and conditions of the relevant suppliers. Additional costs may apply where changes result in increased supplier charges.
We will always inform you of any additional costs before confirming a requested change.
5. Cancellation by the Traveller
You may cancel your booking before the start of your itinerary by providing written notice.
Cancellation charges will apply according to the date on which your cancellation is received:
More than 30 days before the start date: 30% of the total package price.
30 to 15 days before the start date: 50% of the total package price.
14 to 3 days before the start date: 90% of the total package price.
Within 2 days of the start date or in case of no-show: 100% of the total package price.
These charges reflect the commitments and costs incurred in arranging the accommodation, transportation, guides, experiences and other services included in your itinerary.
Where the amount already paid exceeds the applicable cancellation charge, any refund due will be returned in accordance with the applicable terms.
6. Extraordinary Circumstances
If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination or in its immediate vicinity and significantly affect the performance of your package or the transportation of travellers to the destination, you may have the right to cancel your booking without paying a cancellation fee, in accordance with applicable law.
Where this applies, you may be entitled to a refund of payments made for the package. No additional compensation will normally be due in these circumstances.
7. Changes or Cancellation by the Organiser
We make every reasonable effort to operate your itinerary as confirmed.
In exceptional circumstances, it may be necessary to make changes to certain services before or during your trip.
If a significant change to an essential element of your package is required before departure, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the options available to you in accordance with applicable package-travel legislation.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to:
accept the proposed change;
accept an alternative package of equivalent or higher value;
receive an appropriate reduction in price where applicable; or
cancel the package and receive a refund of payments made, where provided by law.
If the Organiser cancels your package before departure for reasons for which you are not responsible, your rights will be determined in accordance with applicable package-travel legislation.
8. Changes During Your Trip
If an essential service included in your package cannot be provided as originally agreed after your trip has started, the Organiser will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative without additional cost to you.
If the alternative arrangements are of lower value, you may be entitled to an appropriate reduction in price.
If no suitable alternative can be provided, your rights will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
9. Responsibility for Your Package
Your package is organised by Escursì S.r.l., acting as Tour Operator/Organiser.
The Organiser is responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in your confirmed package, whether those services are provided directly by the Organiser or by third-party service providers.
The Organiser will not be responsible for circumstances caused by the traveller, unforeseeable or unavoidable actions of third parties, force majeure, or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented or resolved.
10. If Something Goes Wrong
If you experience any problem with a service included in your package, please notify us, the Organiser, or the relevant local representative as soon as possible during your trip.
Prompt notification gives us and our suppliers the opportunity to investigate the issue and, wherever possible, put things right while you are still travelling.
Any formal complaint should be submitted in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and the contact information provided in your travel documentation.
11. Traveller Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
providing accurate information required for your booking;
ensuring that you have valid passports, travel documents, visas and any other documents required for your journey;
informing us in advance of any specific requirements that may affect your participation in the itinerary;
following reasonable instructions provided by guides, accommodation providers, drivers and other service providers; and
behaving respectfully towards local communities, accommodation providers, guides, drivers and other service providers.
Any additional costs arising from your actions or omissions may be charged to you.
12. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
Your insurance should ideally include:
cancellation and trip interruption;
emergency medical expenses;
medical evacuation, where appropriate;
baggage loss or damage; and
any other risks relevant to your personal circumstances and itinerary.
Travel insurance is particularly recommended because cancellation charges may apply if you are unable to travel for personal reasons.
13. Insolvency Protection
The package is organised by Escursì S.r.l., which maintains the required insolvency protection for travellers in accordance with applicable Italian legislation.
Escursì S.r.l. has subscribed to an insolvency protection policy with Fondo Vacanze Felici S.c.a.r.l., policy/registration number 1854.
This protection is intended to safeguard travellers in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy of the Organiser, in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
14. Transfer of Your Booking
Subject to applicable law and the acceptance of the relevant service providers, you may be able to transfer your booking to another person who meets all the requirements necessary to participate in the itinerary.
Any reasonable costs incurred in arranging the transfer will be communicated to you before the transfer is confirmed.
15. Applicable Law
Your package is subject to the applicable Italian and European legislation governing package travel, including the Italian Tourism Code (Codice del Turismo) and applicable European package-travel regulations.
Where these Booking Terms & Conditions do not specifically address a matter, the applicable legislation and the terms of the formal travel contract will apply.
16. Acceptance of These Terms
By confirming your booking and paying the required deposit, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Booking Terms & Conditions, together with your confirmed itinerary and booking documentation.
We are committed to making your journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible, and we will provide you with all relevant information, documentation and payment details before your trip.
